The Filler Episode Where Everyone Gets Sick
YOU GUYSSSSS! IT’S SO SAD! I GOT COVID! T_T Do you know how lame it is to tell everyone your first time getting COVID is in 2023?? I was able to take care of myself so well for the past 3 years when it was going on, but look at me now. Sick and pathetic. All because my wack ass dad decided to bring it home and infect everyone else. So far, 4 of the 6 family members have been taken out.
I’m so devastated. Tomorrow was supposed to be the club’s etiquette lunch/dinner. I can’t believe I’m the one that set up this event and I can’t even attend. Not even take a togo bag. I WANT TO EAT GOOD FOOD. I want the arugula salad, the cast iron king salmon, and the tiramisu for dessert. BUT SUCKS TO BE ME CAUSE I CAN’T GET ANYTHING. Free, delicious food. So close yet so far away.
My throat started feeling sore yesterday morning, but I tested negative, so I still went to school as normal. After I got home and tried to sleep, I couldn’t (like how most people’s nights go), and my temperature started going up. When I looked up at the ceiling, the shadows started to “move”.
So when I was younger, when I got fevers I used to get dizzy A LOT and hallucinate A LOT, but after I was 10 years old, it just stopped happening. Sometimes, I would wake up sweating and this thing would happen where if I was laying on my back and raised my chest, it would feel like my whole body was going up towards the ceiling (in my eyes, the ceiling genuinely got closer), and when I lowered my chest down, my body would get back down to the ground. Basically, I was hallucinating that I was on magic rollercoaster that could take me up and down. This time was my first experience again after a while and fun fact I LOVE BEING DIZZY. Even when I was a kid with a roaring fever, I would love it. Cause you know, it’s just a new feeling you can experience without drugs.
Back to last night, to stop myself from feeling dizzy, I tried closing my eyes to fall asleep faster. At one point of my still continuous tossing and turning, I flipped my pillow over to the cold side to try to get more comfortable. That was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Immediately, I started feeling like the whole room was spinning. Even when my eyes were closed I still felt like I was in an amusement park and everything was twirling around. Probably not hallucinations, but just being dizzy. 10/10 experience, would recommend.
It wasn’t till this morning that I took another tested and saw those dreaded 2 straight lines indicating a positive result. Also sucks because I have an exam next week, and I need to figure out how to get that situated if I can’t be on campus.
TLDR: I have COVID but I love feeling dizzy.
