Dead Week and Perfumes
It’s dead week at school rn and next week is finals week. I’ve been cramming as much as I can these past few days. One of the teachers is nice enough to let us bring a cheat sheet that can either be handwritten or typed. That’s pretty much it on school.
I’ve been getting into perfumes lately. I tend to just use scented lotions from Bath and Body Works, but I was recently gifted my first luxury perfume. It’s the Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet EDT. I enjoy the smell. It’s very fresh and smells of flowers (not roses, there’s a clear difference). Because it’s an EDT, the scent doesn’t stick around long enough and that’s kind of annoying to reapply. Other perfumes I’ve kept an eye on are the Burberry Her, Chanel COCO Mademoiselle, and the Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia. Burberry Her makes you smell like jasmine-mixed sweet berries without having a strong vanilla scent. If you enjoy the scent but want it a bit “creamier”, the Burberry Her Elixir, would be great for you. It’s a more intense scent with a stronger vanilla base (I don’t like vanilla though, so Burberry Her is perfect for me). The Chanel COCO has a stronger presence of “this is a women’s perfume”. If you let it stay on your body for a while and mix with your natural oils, the smell will grow a bit ‘sexier’. It’s a strong scent so people will definitely notice that you’re wearing perfume. This would be ideal if you’re going to an important meeting or just having a night out with a significant other. The Gucci Flora is floral and fruity. It’s soft and clean, so just like the Blooming Bouquet, it will rub off a bit fast and won’t last the whole day. Even though it’s an EDP, the scent will wear off like an EDT. Although the scent is nice, I’m more wary of purchasing this cause of the price but low quality. Pro tip: to make a soft scent last longer, apply the fragrance with Vaseline. But still, if I’m buying a luxury perfume at such a high price tag, it really sucks if I have to resort to tricks like this just to get it to stay.
Anyways that’s about it. I know this post isn’t like my others but it’s just my 2 cents. I’ll probably get back to it after finals week.
TLDR: School is killing me and I learned about perfume.
