Another Fun Day with Pretty (Halloween-style)!

The other day, I went out with Pretty for dinner and a movie. I was bored driving home from school late at night and wanted to bother her. We got to Olive Garden and I made it my goal to tackle their $15 all you can eat pasta. Online, everyone was getting to 4 or even 6 plates. My personal goal was to get to 4. Both of us got their chicken gnocchi soup. The best way to eat it is to eat the gnocchi and to dip your breadstick in the soup. The buttery breadstick will get slightly soggy but still have that toasted crunch.

Omg that never ending pasta challenge looked so much easier through the videos. I finished my first plate (fettuccine alfredo with a chicken fritta), and I thought I was gonna die. How does everyone make it look so easy? But am I a quitter? NO! Onto the second plate I go. This plate is exponentially smaller than the other. Possibly only a third of the originally portion size. This time I wanted to change it up a little and got the five cheese marinara rigatoni with Italian sausage. I thought the Italian sausage would be like the type they put on pizza, but nope. They put a whole sausage link on top of the pasta. Not even cut up or anything. That’s no problem for me and I get to grubbing. Pretty, on the other hand, was taking it nice and easy with just a grilled salmon and a side of broccoli. It’s okay. I came here for a battle. It, however, was a really short battle because I tapped out after that second plate. Seriously, how is it possible to get to 4???

After dinner, we drove across to the movie theater and impulsively decided on watching The Nun II. I haven’t watched the first one yet, so maybe that’s why I didn’t understand the ending, but it was still really scary. I like scary movies for the thrill, but I still find it scary. Basically, I had my eyes peeking through my fingers for half of the movie. The theater was also really nice. They have the reclining chairs and we actually got the WHOLE theater to ourselves. We got the last showing at around midnight, and were the only ones there! That made the movie-watching experience so much more fun. The screen was huge and the audio was loud, and we got to experience that all for ourselves. We were able to talk or scream as loudly as we wanted.

At one point during the movie, Pretty needed to go to the bathroom. When she left, I was so scared by myself in the dark, so I just started singing really loudly. When she got back, she said she was equally scared, too, and she kept her eyes away from the mirror when washing her hands.

I’m kinda sad about the movie because no one important died in the end. Yea the nun kills innocent civilians, but none of the main characters got the boot. Also, I said before that the ending was confusing. I don’t understand what the connection is between the main girl, her dead mom, the glowing eyes, and why she didn’t burn. Also, I don’t understand the Saint lady with her eyes gouged out and why they glow. Maybe I should’ve been paying more attention to the movie rather than screaming and singing. It was still a great experience though. Having no one in the huge theater made the scary vibes raise to the roof.

TLDR: People on TikTok that eat more than 2 bowls of pasta is all Olive Garden propaganda. And, The Nun II is scary.
