Origins of ‘Liaa’

A few years back, I started playing Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. It was my first game ever. Not even ever playing Minecraft, Fortnite, or Sims, I started my gaming journey with MLBB. When they asked me to type in my “name”, I used my real one. When I started to actually play the game, I was, of course, terrible. I refused to buy equipment. Being cheap and thinking, “Why should I spend my coins on equipment when I can save it to buy a hero?” I believed the in-game unused coins would translate over to Battle Points after the match was over. Obviously, once it started getting into late game and everyone had enhanced themselves with equipment I was very easy to kill to everyone (even by the minions/creeps). At first, I couldn’t even tell what I was doing wrong and kept wondering why I was so weak. My teams got annoyed with me so in the in-game chat, they’d cuss me out but using my in-game “real” name instead of my “hero’s” name. Being cussed out with your real name somehow feels worse and more personal so I got the idea that I should change my in-game name to a fake name thinking it would stop feeling so personal. I don’t remember how, but I thought of “Lia”, but MLBB requires names to have a minimum of 4 letters, and so there I added an extra ‘a’ and there came to be Liaa.

Naturally, I got better at the game through trial and error. I’m a Lunox main and a mage user. I can flame everyone hehehe. I stopped playing after 3 or 4 years but I was proud of what I had while I had it. I was truthfully not THAT great of a player. I can build my character to be very strong and can hold my own, but I don’t farm and lack map awareness.

Small and quick post but hope you enjoyed :)
